Frequently asked questions
Glamping
What is included in a glamping stay?
Linen and towels, a kitchenette with fridge, microwave and kettle, tea and coffee, an outdoor bath, barbecue and air-conditioning. Bring your own food, or add a breakfast pack.
How many people can stay in a tent?
Each tent has a queen bed and sleeps two adults.
Can I bring my dog to a tent?
Pets are not allowed in the glamping tents. Dogs on a lead are welcome on the caravan and camping sites.
Can you set up the tent for a special occasion?
Yes. Add a celebration pack when you book and we will have sparkling wine, local chocolates and flowers waiting. See all the extras.
Caravan and camping
Will my caravan or motorhome fit?
Most likely. Powered sites are drive-through and suit setups up to 14 m including the tow vehicle. Use the rig checker to be sure.
Do I need to book ahead?
Powered sites fill up in the dry season, from about May to October, so booking ahead is best. Unpowered camping usually has room for walk-ins.
Can I run a generator?
On unpowered sites, between 8am and 8pm. Please keep them well away from the glamping tents.
Are campfires allowed?
Yes, in the fire pits provided, unless there is a local fire ban. We will tell you at check-in.
What facilities are there?
Hot showers and toilets, a laundry, a camp kitchen and barbecue area, drinking water and a dump point.
Arriving
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check in from 2pm, check out by 10am. Late check-out until 2pm can be added to your booking.
What if I arrive late?
Self check-in is available. Call ahead and we will leave directions to your site or tent at the gate.
What is the road in like?
Sealed from Mareeba, then about 1.5 km of well-graded gravel on Paglietta Road. Fine for 2WD cars and caravans in all but heavy wet-season rain.
Is there mobile reception?
Telstra 4G works across most of the property. Optus is patchy, and there is no guest wifi.
Around the property
Can I fish in the dams?
Yes, there is fishing and redclaw in both dams. Ask Norman at check-in where they are biting.
Are there walking tracks?
A marked loop of about an hour runs along the ridge and back through the wildlife corridor. Go late in the day for wallabies.
How far is it to Mareeba?
8 km, about ten minutes by car, for supermarkets, fuel, cafes and the Saturday market.
