Caravan & RV

Twelve powered sites along the ridge and open bush camping, 8 km from Mareeba. Big rigs, families and dogs on a lead are all welcome.

The caravan park

Pull straight through onto a level site on top of the ridge, plug in and put the kettle on. No unhitching, no squeezing between neighbours.

If you would rather go off-grid, the cleared ridge has room for unpowered camping wherever you like the look of the shade. Hot showers, toilets, a laundry and a camp kitchen are a short walk away.

Open surroundings

Fifty acres of the ridge are cleared for camping, and the other hundred are left as bush. That means room between sites, long views over the Tablelands and a sky full of stars at night.

Walk the tracks down to the two dams, throw in a line for redclaw, or sit with a coffee and count the birds.

Your base on the Tablelands

Set up once and spend your days exploring. Mareeba is ten minutes away, Granite Gorge and the wetlands are under half an hour, and Kuranda, Atherton and the waterfalls all make an easy day trip.

Frequently asked questions

Not covered here? Call Norman on 0400 978 311.

Do I need to book ahead?

Powered sites fill up in the dry season, from about May to October, so booking ahead is best. Unpowered camping usually has room for walk-ins.

Can I run a generator?

On unpowered sites, between 8am and 8pm. Please keep them well away from the glamping tents.

Is the road OK in the wet season?

The gravel section is well maintained. After very heavy rain we may ask big rigs to wait a day, and we will always let you know before you arrive.

Are campfires allowed?

Yes, in the fire pits provided, unless there is a local fire ban. We will tell you at check-in.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, on caravan and camping sites, on a lead. Pets are not allowed in the glamping tents.

Is there a camp kitchen?

Yes, with a barbecue area, sinks and a fridge. There is also a laundry beside the toilets and showers.
